Rebuilding begins in December. *Opening of the Théâtre St. Philippe, New Orleans. *Charles Thomson's Bible Translation from the Greek (''Holy Bible, containing the Old and New Covenant'') is printed by Jane Aitken in Philadelphia (United States).
